Chris Thompson named Umbraco MVP at Codegarden 2026
Umbraco awards its MVP title to the people contributing most to the platform and its community.

Zeroseven founder and Managing Director Chris Thompson has joined the ranks of Umbraco MVPs, announced at the Codegarden 2026 keynote in Copenhagen. It's an individual honour for his work in the Umbraco community, and we're proud to see him earn it.
What is an Umbraco MVP?
The Umbraco MVP is a community recognition that Umbraco HQ awards each year to the people contributing most to the platform and its ecosystem. MVP stands for Most Valuable People. That contribution takes many forms: answering questions in the forum, building and maintaining packages, submitting pull requests to the core, writing articles, speaking at meetups, or helping people who are new to Umbraco.
First-time MVPs are brought up on stage during the keynote and handed a statuette. The title runs for a year and is decided on the previous twelve months of community work.

Why it matters for your project
You're working with recognised expertise. Umbraco MVPs are nominated and selected by the community and Umbraco HQ, based on consistent contributions over time. Zeroseven operates at that level: shaping how Umbraco is used, improved and supported, not just building with it day-to-day.
That proximity to the platform means a clearer read on what works, what doesn't, and where things are heading. Fewer pitfalls, less rework, and more confident technical decisions from the start.
Zeroseven is a Brisbane-based agency and one of Australia's longest-standing and largest Umbraco Gold Partners, and an Umbraco Contributing Partner. Every developer on our team is Umbraco certified, representing about 26% of all certified Umbraco developers in Australia. We've built more than 100 Umbraco sites over 15-plus years on the platform, including for government. Chris's MVP title confirms what those credentials already say: your project carries less platform risk.
Thank you
Thanks to Umbraco HQ and the community for the title, and congratulations to Chris, who put in the work behind it.
