Winter Warmer Adventure

By Chris 5-10 minute read

When the mercury drops, everyone at Zeroseven knows what time it is; time for our annual Winter Warmer event! On Friday the 31st of July, the team and their partners headed off to Cedar Cheek Lodges at Thunderbird Park on the picturesque Mount Tambourine.

After a scrumptious buffet lunch in the Rainforest restaurant, it was time for us to begin on the Quest for the Holy Grail. We split into three teams and set off on a series of physical challenges and mind games to find this mythical item. We constructed bazookas, conducted sabotage, tested our skills in archery, and competed in an epic scavenger hunt to win pieces of the map and beat our rival teams to the prize. But then in a twist of events, we realized that each team didn't have enough pieces to find the map on our own. Putting aside out competitiveness, we joined forces to piece together the map and combine our wits to find the Holy Grail!

That night, we enjoyed a hard earned dinner - a delicious three course meal - before retiring to the lodges. Next morning, we woke up ready to tackle the Tree Top Challenge; an intimidating high ropes course weaving through the bushland. Our team were dangling from the trees, walking tightropes, climbing up nets, and zipping down flying foxes as they worked their way through the course. It was an exhilarating experience, and definitely got the adrenaline pumping.

Apart from being a great adventure, we all got to know each other better; especially our new faces. It was great for the team to be able to hang out in a different environment away from work, and to get out of the city and into nature.
