Overview

Another year, another Christmas card…. this time, we thought we’d do something a bit more fun and interactive! 

 

Solution

With the ‘Decorate Your Tree’ Christmas Card we wanted to involve our clients and friends, so we provided a choice of Christmas trees (from funky to spooky) and gave the user free reign over the decorations. We wanted to see what everyone else came up with and boy, were there some good ones! 

 

Once trees were decorated, they could be emailed to the user or their friends.  The card was developed using Adobe Flex, Flash with Papervision 3D, saving everyone’s created trees and cards. 

 

Results

Our clients loved it…and so we thought we’d share it with the world - after the site was featured in an online showcase (bestwebgallery.com), the card got an overwhelming number of creations. We now have a forest of fabulous Christmas trees from all those created.
