Bentleys MRI and James Underwood & Associates provide the most successful benchmarking survey for the aged care industry in Australia. After 11 years of collecting data from hundreds of aged care facilities using a paper based survey and collating them manually before creating the final reports, Bentleys MRI decided to automate the system using a custom online system.

After holding a thorough tendering process, Zeroseven was chosen to design and create the application.

Solution

Zeroseven analysed the existing process and designed an application to automate the system, paying special attention to usability for the facility staff performing data entry, extensibility to cater for future versions of the system and the technology to create the complex reports.

Results

One of the key results is an increase in facility participation in the benchmarking survey. Also the automated system provided a dramatic reduction in time required by Bentleys MRI staff in the collation of facility surveys, querying of data anomalies and report creation.

The automated process has also allowed exploration into further automated report types, providing a additional ways for aged care facilities to benchmark their operations.
