Specialistpoint is a website that allows Medical Specialists to
show their availability for acute and urgent referrals 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week. It has been developed to help Australian
Medical Specialists manage their oncall rosters.
THE BRIEF
There are two parts to the service, an informative public
website and a members area. Membership is open to all eligible
Australian health professionals, including doctors, nurses, allied
health and medical secretaries.
THE SOLUTION
Basic membership allows for members to search for oncall
practitioners, view member profiles, view oncall rosters, and view
and make blog entries.
The members and administrators area features an extensive system
for scheduling on call professionals, managing practitioner groups
and quickly viewing who is available.
The system has been designed with the user in mind, where busy
medical professional and their administrators can use the system
easily and quickly. The system allows for synchronisation of on
call specialists between multiple hospitals and effectively
replaces the manual systems in place at many hospitals.
