If you're an avid twitter user, media tycoon or budding online start up entrepreneur, you'll know what SXSW is. The rest of us probably have no idea but see the name popping up all over the internet during the month of March.
March is when the annual SXSW, South by Southwest, Interactive conference happens in Austin, Texas. It is THE conference for the world's digital Technorati including keynotes by Christopher "Moot" Poole founder of 4chan.org, Seth Priebatsch founder of SCVNG and internet critic Bruce Sterling. If you want to bump into the internet's tastemakers such as Kevin Rose (Digg Founder), Jeff Jarvis (Author "What Would Google Do") and Robert Scoble (American blogger and Microsoft evangelist), then this is the ultimate destination. If you haven't heard of SXSW, I'm sure you'll feel its presence online through blogs, technology news and its dominance of your twitter feed.
It is not just a conference for internet tastemakers but offers talks on a variety of online design and development issues. There are over 200 panels and presentations from Social media to the latest in Web Design. Zeroseven will be keeping an eye on the news and discussions coming out of SXSW because often those trends set the stage for the year to come in new media and online industries.
Zeroseven will not be sending any staff to SXSW this year but we will be collecting great links from SXSW so you don't need to worry about missing out. We will be paying close attention to the newest ideas on online usability, social media and design trends. It is just another example of how Zeroseven remains cutting edge and aware of the newest technology so our clients don't have to.
