As the floodwaters peaked in Brisbane on Thursday 13th January,
and a sleepless night, we went to check out the Zeroseven
office in the morning to see how much damage it had received from
the floodwaters of the Brisbane River. Seeing various aerial shots
of South Brisbane from the city, we were unsure what we would find
and feared the worst as we started wandering through West End and
South Brisbane.
We parked by Musgrave Park and tried to find our way toward Hope
St but Merivale and Cordelia Sts were cut off by water. We wandered
through to Melbourne Sts and there was water from Boundary St
on Melbourne St all the way to Southbank. It was uncanny and
unbelievable, to see the streets that you know and see everyday,
underwater.
Take a look at the journey through the streets we know
and love as the river took over our neighbourhood...

So, this is our city and our neighbourhood, what happened this
week was utterly unbelievable and we are truly thankful that the
floodwaters bypassed us. Writing this, our office is still without
power but we saw the amazing clean up effort that was going on in
this area today and our hearts go out to the ones who lost so much
more in this disaster.
