This morning I was delighted to find twitter buzzing about the new online, interactive music clip from the Canadian band Arcade Fire for their song We Used to Wait.
This film clip takes the song’s themes about growing up in the suburbs and brings it to life by bringing you to your own neighbourhood using Google Maps street view, a whole bunch of HTML 5 and JavaScript tricks mixed with sound and video.
I urge you to put a few minutes aside and check out this clip here (In the Google Chrome browser)

This band has been using all sorts of innovative advertising to promote their amazing new album The Suburbs such as a bunch of secret shows in Canadian suburbs and writing in the hills while music fanatics wait in heavy traffic on the journey to Splendour In The Grass in Woodford last month.
This latest interactive piece may be their most impressive yet.
